This snake was brought in by a park ranger to the Audubon Ecology Camp. These snakes are quite rare to find and I was overjoyed to see one and to have the opportunity to get a few photos.
Notice in this picture the sharp rostral scale (i.e. the sharp snout). This feature can be used to distinguish this species from the similar-looking Milk Snake. |
