Camp Clearfork (near Hot Springs), Garland Co., Arkansas, USA
This snake was encountered at night crawling across a gravel parking lot. Several cicadas had been observed emerging in the area and I wonder if this snake wasn't looking for some.
I retained this snake for a few days for "show and tell", then released it several hundred feet down the access road. |
